Privacy policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
In short: AliSearch has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It works on AliExpress search pages only. Data leaves your browser in three cases: when you open a product through AliSearch (to create the affiliate link), when you choose to send us feedback, and – only if you submit it – when you answer the optional uninstall survey.
Who is responsible
AliSearch is developed and operated by an individual developer in the European Union. Contact for any privacy question: alisearch.extension@gmail.com.
What stays in your browser
- Settings (how many products to expand, parallel extractions, show/hide out-of-stock and bundle items) are stored with Chrome's storage. If you use Chrome sync, Google syncs them between your devices.
- Affiliate link cache: links already created for products, so they are not requested again.
- Page content: AliSearch reads AliExpress search and product pages to find variants and prices. This happens in your browser; the page content is not sent to us.
What we receive
| When | What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| You open a product through AliSearch | The AliExpress product address, the time, and the country of your request (derived from your IP address by Cloudflare; we do not store the IP address) | To create the affiliate link and redirect you to the product; to detect errors and abuse | 12 months, then deleted |
| You send feedback | Your message, the address of the page you were on, your browser version (user agent), the AliSearch version, and – only if you enter them – your name and e-mail address | To answer you and fix problems | As long as needed to handle your message; deleted on request |
| You submit the optional uninstall survey | The reason you selected, any free-text note you add, your browser version (user agent), and – if present in the page address – the AliSearch version. The uninstall page address may include only the language and that version; it does not include a user ID. | To understand why people remove the extension and improve it | As long as needed to review the answers; deleted on request |
When you remove AliSearch, Chrome may open the uninstall survey with a version query parameter (for example ?version=1.1.0) so we know which release you used. That parameter is not a personal identifier.
We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it for any purpose other than the ones above.
Service providers
- Cloudflare runs our server (Cloudflare Workers) and database (Cloudflare D1).
- AliExpress Affiliate API receives the product address to create the affiliate link. After the redirect you are on AliExpress, and the AliExpress privacy policy applies – AliExpress may set cookies to attribute the purchase.
- Resend delivers feedback and uninstall-survey messages to our mailbox (Google Gmail).
Affiliate links
AliSearch uses affiliate links. When you open a product through AliSearch and buy it, we may earn a small commission from AliExpress, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change prices and do not affect which products are shown or how they are sorted.
Legal basis (EU/EEA users)
- Product redirects: our legitimate interest in providing the feature you use and keeping the service working (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Feedback: your consent, given by sending the message (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Uninstall survey: your consent, given by submitting the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). The survey is optional.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, or ask for a copy. Write to alisearch.extension@gmail.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
AliSearch is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change how AliSearch handles data, we update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
